Saturday, February 24th – Men’s Giant Slalom
•  River Radamus commenced his first World Cup race on US soil in the 2023-24 season.He secured 3rd place after the initial run, trailing leader Marco Odermatt by 0.78 seconds.

• Despite being the 18th fastest in the second run, he clinched his inaugural FIS World Cup podium, finishing in 3rd place.

• This achievement follows his previous near-misses: 4th place at the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing 2022, the World Championships in Courcheval 2023, and another FIS World Cup Giant Slalom in Adelboden, Switzerland, in 2024. 

• River's ranking has soared to #9 in the world in Giant Slalom following his remarkable 3rd place finish.

• "This weekend marked the realization of a lifelong dream for me. I wasn’t certain this moment would ever materialize, but I persevered nonetheless. To have it unfold on home turf feels even sweeter. I eagerly anticipate chasing this sensation again!" - River


Sunday, February 25th– Men’s Slalom
•  Both AJ Ginnis and River Radamus competed.

•  AJ began at #18 in the first run, briefly holding the 2nd position at the first split and settling for 7th at the midway point before an unfortunate gate straddle led to his exit.

• River, starting at the end of the field, #69, encountered challenges with the demanding conditions and course setup at the top of the first run. Despite initial setbacks, he managed to rejoin the course but ultimately retired without finishing.


Aspen World Cup
Friday, March 1st – Men’s Giant Slalom (makeup for Soelden, AUT in October)
•  River Radamus, starting with bib #15, encountered some challenges during the first run on what looked like an absolute ice rink, resulting in a 16th place finish, trailing by 1.86 seconds.

•  In the second run, River, once again wearing bib #15, advanced a few positions to claim 11th place overall, boasting the 4th fastest time in the second run.

•  His 11th place finish propelled River into the prestigious first group for Saturday's Giant Slalom, consisting of the top 7 athletes in the world.


Saturday, March 2nd– Men’s Giant Slalom #2
•  River, now positioned in the first group, commenced with bib #3. Despite encountering challenges in the first run, particularly in the upper section, he concluded the race in 30th place.

•  In the second run, starting with bib #1, River delivered an impressive performance. However, the time lost in the initial run proved insurmountable, resulting in a 22nd place finish overall.


Sunday, March 3rd – Men’s Slalom
•  AJ Ginnis began at #22, while River started at 68, the last position in the field once again.

•  AJ, grappling with left knee swelling since the Tahoe races, faced uncertainty leading up to the event. Despite starting, he withdrew halfway through the first run, marking another Did Not Finish (DNF).

•  River navigated a challenging course, enduring a rugged descent to finish outside the top 30 and miss qualification for the second run, landing in 34th place.
